ScottishPower Renewables would like to thank members of the community for taking part in a recent Public Information Day and for giving their views on the proposed extension for Whitelee Windfarm.

Plans for the five turbine development were presented to communities last week at the Fenwick Hotel, with the majority of feedback in relation to the design of the project being positive.

This event is part of the formal consultation process and the feedback received will help shape the final design of the planning application, which will be submitted to the Scottish Government later this year.

Project Manager, Clare Hamilton said:

“We are very grateful to the people who spared the time to come and speak to us and share their views.

“All feedback will be considered as we continue designing the project and we will keep in touch with the Community Councils in the coming months to update them on our progress.”
