ScottishPower Renewables has officially signed contracts with the Low Carbon Contracts Company (LCCC), paving the way for the delivery of more than 1,000MW of new clean, green generating capacity.
ScottishPower was awarded two Contracts for Difference (CfD) as part of Allocation Round 6 (AR6), including for our East Anglia TWO offshore windfarm that will see 963MW of clean energy come online in 2028/29.
The contracts will secure enough electricity enough to power the equivalent of more than one million homes, and in turn support the signing of billions of pounds worth of investment and supply chain awards.
They are part of 130 Allocation Round 6 (AR6) contracts signed with LCCC in recent weeks, setting a new milestone with the highest number of contracts ever signed in a single round.
Once operational, AR6 will see 9.58GW of renewable generation come online bringing the total CfD capacity to 34.74 GW.
