The two story building at berth 1 of the Mukran Port, built by German construction company Goldbeck, consists of office rooms where the windfarm can be monitored. The building, which also includes several workshops and a material warehouse, will be shared with Adwen and it will become the heart of the project for all operation and maintenance tasks on the different components and equipment of the project.
The windfarm will be operated for at least 25 years. In this time approximately 100 direct and indirect jobs will be created.
Meanwhile the offshore installation works are going well. After timeous completion of the project’s foundations, the offshore substation and inter-array cables, the installation of wind turbines is progressing according to plan in order to finish commissioning of the wind farm in the second half of 2017.
