Commenting on the Scottish Government’s announcement regarding the Renewables Obligation (Scotland) review, Keith Anderson, CEO ScottishPower Renewables, said:

“We welcome today’s announcement from the Scottish Government and are pleased to see that an evidence based process has been followed. This is a key factor in maintaining investor confidence.

“The industry will need to work hard in order to manage the impacts of the cost reduction targets inherent in this outcome. However, both the Scottish and UK Government reviews have created the right environment for continued significant investment in a range of renewable energy technologies which will create skilled employment and substantial inward investment.“
