As a responsible developer and operator of renewable energy, ScottishPower Renewables believes the benefits of our projects should be shared with the communities in which we work.

During the operation of our onshore renewable energy developments, we create and support community benefit funds, empowering communities to control how this money is spent to best serve the needs of their local area. To date, we have contributed over £60 million to communities across the UK.

Our focus is on building positive relationships at a local level and gathering good news about the initiatives that communities are delivering with our help.

Our funds can be used to deliver a wide range of initiatives and we encourage the communities receiving our funds to maximise the opportunity through engaging locally to develop a community action plan. This helps to identify local priorities and the delivery of strategic initiatives with long term benefits.
